TERMS OF REFERENCE – RAFCAA COARSE ANGLING COMAND REPRESENTATIVES (CMD REPS)

(ANNEX D TO RAFCAA/CCMAN/3 DATED 17 MAR 04)

1. The Cmd Reps are appointed by the CC to foster coarse angling within each of the RAF Commands. Each Command Rep is responsible for:

a. Fostering RAF Coarse Angling in accordance with the principles and instructions outlined in this Directive.

b. Liasing and corresponding with the Command Sports Board Rep, including bidding for funding and managing Command coarse angling accounts as required.

c. The detailed correspondence concerning RAF Coarse Angling and maintenance of appropriate files.

d. The arrangement of Command fixtures and competitions.

e. Informing host stations of detailed requirements such as accommodation, and match HQs.

f. Selecting the Command Representative Team for the Inter-command Championships.

g. Issuing team selections and details of match venues, assembly points, transport arrangements, authority for travel and catering arrangements. Signal messages are to be avoided.

h. Informing their Cmd Ped staff of all major fixtures and the results of all Command matches.

i. Estimating the annual financial requirements and passing the estimates to their Cmd Ped staff through the Command Chairman.

j. The organising and running the Inter-Command Championships on a 2-yearly rotational basis, with the other Command Rep.

k. Controlling expenditure and submitting certified bills as required.

l. Arranging for the purchase of prizes and provision of trophies for Command and, where appropriate, Inter-command angling matches.

m. In liaison with the CC, arranging for the trophies and prizes to be presented by a VIP at the end of a Command or Inter-command competition. They should also ensure that anglers and officials concerned are properly briefed on the form of the presentation ceremony.

n. Arranging, with agreement of the Command Chairman, for the issue of command representative certificates to entitled anglers.

o. Maintaining a register of personnel who are awarded a command representative colours certificate and issue certificates for presentation.

p. Arranging suitable officials for competitions by direct liaison with Coarse Sec.

q. Representing their Command at the RAFCAA AGM and Sub-Committee Meetings; if he is unable to attend he is to provide a suitable deputy.

r. Carrying out any other duties as detailed by the CC.
